Operation and performance of the campion hills full-scale ozone plant

The Campion Hills water treatment works provides drinking water for the Leamington Spa area in the Midlands (UK). To meet the current UK drinking water standards, the treatment process at Campion Hills was modified by the an ozne plant in May 1990. An intensive sampion Hills was modified by the addition of an ozone plant in May 1990. An intensive sampling and monitoring programme was undertaken in July 1991 to determine operating performance. The ozone plant operates automatically via a PLC, regulating gas flow in response to changes in water quality and flow rate.
