The mechanisms involved in the preozonation of some chlorophenolic compounds

The effects of perozonation over the biodegradabilities of five chlorophenolic compunds were investigated in this study. The samples were preozonated under either acidic or basic condition and were then fed to the subsequent biological systems for test. Activated sludge of both the unacclimated and the acclimated type was studied separately.
