The business communications network management challenge

The author describes the Alcatel Business Communications (ABC) solution to network management. It provides a network architecture, network management architecture, related protocols and the A 8050 network management centre. The services follow the OSI categorisation, providing management of: faults, configuration, domain, performance, security and accounting.
