Examines the development of digital cordless technology, and compares the Digital European Cordless Telephone (DECT) system with that of the GSM. As the DECT is believed to feature above all in the office environment as part of a PABX or even as a fully cordless PABX, it is useful to compare it with the other candidate cordless telephone standards: the CEPT's CT1 and CT2.
