High temperature behavior of ball-milled Al-Ni-Ce-Co alloys

Microstructure of ball-milled Al_(85)Ni_8Ce_5Co_2 powder indicates the formation of fine nanoparticles with some amorphous fraction. Thermal analysis revealed that the release of internal stress and grain growth is followed by the redistribution and possible melting of high solute concentration interfaces. In addition, mechanical properties of compacted powder specimens were also investigated.
