QFT has been applied to numerous analog and digital flight control design problems. These include linear time invariant (LTI) fixed compensation m output, n input (nor=m) over a wide variety of flight conditions (FCs) with effector failures. Quantitative performance specifications are satisfied despite the failures, with no failure detection and identification. Rigorous nonlinear QFT design theory has been applied to large alpha problems for which LTI modeling is incorrect. QFT has been successfully applied to an X29 problem with varying numbers of right half plane poles and zeros (due to different FCs) close together.
