摘要

The generally agreed desirability of remote control of 11 kV overhead network, so as to be able, in conjunction with other measures, to improve supply security, would be frustrated without an actuator with some form of energy store to operate the ubiquitous pole mounted airbreak isolator. The authors describe the design of an integrated actuator to carry out such operations. This actuator contributes to the security of supply on the networks by allowing isolation of faulty sections, and reinstatement of sound ones, in comparatively short times, direct from the control room.
