摘要

The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the feasibility of expert system (ES) applications in a real-world control center environment of electric power systems. An expert system called CRAFT (customer restoration and fault testing) was developed which serves as a power system dispatchers' and load restoration process. Results of the ES development work are summarized. The accuracy and efficiency of the developed expert system were validated, thereby demonstrating the feasibility of the ES approach. The authors also describe the implementation plan of the developed ES in a utility control center.
