Proposes a practical approach to the restorative control problem. An approach that combines a knowledge-engineering technique with conventional analytical tools has been adopted. This architecture gives sufficient processing speed and various kinds of flexibility. It gives operators an appropriate restoration plan and restorative procedures. And it modifies the restoration plan automatically if unexpected occurrences such as new faults happen, and accepts the operator's restoration plan and restorative operations which are different from the system's proposed ones. A prototype has been developed to verify these functions on a real-size power system model.
