An Intrusion Detection Technique Using Frequency Analysis for Wireless Sensor Network

摘要

Intrusion detection and prevention is an important area in WSNs security. Securities for resource constrain network needs innovative techniques which consume less memory and processing power. Conventionally all the security protocols in WSNs are based on transmitted or received data analysis through a transmission medium, but this process consumes resources. This paper proposed a technique which is based on the frequency analysis onsite to find the interference/ intrusion into the network. In this technique dedicated intrusion detection sensors are deployed along with application sensors within the network. These dedicated sensors continuously scanning the frequencies of the intrusion. The data from these dedicated sensors are stored in a fuzzy analytical engine for inference. Based on the inference, if any intrusion is detected then the control signal will be transmitted to the server for further action. The proposed technique consumes less resource in comparison to other methods.
