Software-Defined Networking has emerged in recent years as a promising technology and as an alternative to conventional networks. Although the rise of new technologies implies the appearance of new challenges such as network security. This article presents a method of control based on information and samples of packets collected from network traffic and creation of rules in the OpenDaylight (ODL) controller to detect a possible denial of service attack and proceed with the installation of rules to mitigate it. The application has been implemented in OpenDaylight and emulated in the Mininet simulator.
