A dynamic approach to the problem of generating playable guitar chord fingerings is considered. In this problem, the user is allowed to modify parameters relating to the guitar, tuning, and his or her hands at run-time. A core library along with an Android application are produced which solve this problem. The solution employs state space search, multithreading, and other techniques to achieve responsive run-times for any reasonable guitar configuration.
