An adaptive lattice filter structure is presented as a solution to the narrowband jammer rejection problem in a direct sequence spread spectrum communication system.A discussion of both the adaptive and non-adaptive lattice filters is given.Computer simulation results show that even a simple (two stage) adaptive lattice filter significantly improves probability of error in a DS spread spectrum receiver that has been corrupted by narrowband noise.A hardware implementation of the filter (under construction) is discussed.
