摘要

This paper describes a new synchronization method for ring networks. It consists of two techniques, each applied to different problems. One of these is very effective in achieving physical transmission links without jitter accumulation, and the other provides synchronization flexibility for end-to-end communications. This paper also describes the FACOM-2881 optical data highway system to which the new synchronization method is applied.
