摘要

A pilot carrier injected 64-QAM system with high spectrum efficiency and stable operation is proposed. Using this method a 4 GHz 90 Mbps digital radio system attaining spectrum efficiency of 4.5 bits/Hz was developed. The modem uses simple carrier extraction technique and demodulation is by absolute phase detection.To overcome the effect of multipath fading, an adaptive transversal equalizer with 9taps is used, and it can equalize frequency dispersion up to 12 dB/15 MHz.Performance of the 64 QAM system in the presence of co-channel interference is nearly the same as that for gaussian niose. Proposed techniques are very promising to realize highly efficient multilevel QAM systems.
