THE ROLE OF CCIR INTERIM WORKING PARTY 4/1 IN SATELLITE COMMUNICATION

摘要

CCIR Study Group 4 (Fixed-Satellite Service) established Interim Working Party 4/1 in 1968 to assist it in studying technical factors which affect efficient use of the geostationary satellite orbit. A good understanding of these factors has been built up and this work has led in recent years to the application, by way of ITU Radio Regulations or CCIR Recommendations, of major measures to improve orbit utilization in practice. These include improved satellite station-keeping, larger permissible interference allowances, and reduced earth station antenna sideiobe gain and radiation levels. The work continues.
