Heat Transfer Performance of Heat Pipe with Hydrophilic Inner Wall

摘要

Enchancing heat transfer efficiency is the main direction of the development of heat exchange components. In this paper, a chemical etching method is used to change the inner wall surface of gravity heat pipe, creating a hydrophilic wall surface. Performances of hydrophilic heat pipe and plain heat pipe were compared under the conditions of high vacuum degree, 20°C cooling water and variable heat input. The results shows that hydrophilic heat pipe has lower heat transfer resistance and higher heat transfer coefficient of evaporation section than plain heat pipe.
