ELECTRONIC IMPLEMENTATIONS OF A.G.A. REPORT NO. 8

Since publication of the second edition of A.G.A Report No. 8 in 1992, there have been numerous implementations of this standard for the compressibility factor of natural gas, Discussion of electronic implementations of A.G.A. Report No, 8 is presented based on experience with numerous gas metering applications. Included are applications at the meter site using both electronic flow computers and programmable logic controllers to poll the flowmeter transducers and perform, real-time flow rate calculations. Other applications include calculations at the field office and gas accounting system levels. The use of A.G.A. Report No. 8 calculations with electronic bulletin board data to verify gas sales statements also is discussed.
