Comparison of MODIS Land Surface Temperature and Air Temperature Over Global in 2015

摘要

We combine Landsat- and the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS)-based products, as well as Global Historical Climatology Network (GHCN) daily climate records from stations to compare remotely sensed land surface temperature and station observed air temperature globally. More than 9600 GHCN stations are chosen in this study to characterize the temperature variations across different biomes and impervious surface area.
