Features of Taiwan’s Public Health System Revealed in the Covid-19 Epidemic

Since the start of 2020, Covid-19 has been wreaking havoc around the world, posing threats to economic growth and people’s lives. Through literature research, this study first studied on laws and regulations of public health, and summarized the normalized epidemic control policies of Taiwan. Later, by sorting news and administrative documents on Covid-19 control in Taiwan, this study analyzed features on the system of early warning, risk control, border quarantine inspection, medical work, and security of materials. Research results show that the good public health system in Taiwan has provided a strong support for containment of the Covid-19 epidemic. This study is expected to provide some experience for public health construction of Chinese Mainland to improve Chinese emergency management capacity.
