Frequency regulation with doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs) may improve power systems stability, but setting the control parameters based on time-domain analysis is boring. This paper newly derives the trajectory sensitivities of system dynamic response with respect to the parameters of the DFIG. The sensitivities are included in an optimization model to set the frequency regulator of the DFIG to alleviate oscillation of the mechanical power of synchronous generators. The simulation results validate the accuracy of the sensitivities. It is found that the optimized parameter improves the angular and frequency stabilities of the power systems.
