Phenomenal technological developments have an immense and broad impact on the future of adaptive and evolving government systems. Technologies, such as cloud computing, fog computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT), offer governments and their citizens opportunities to enhance their experiences and services; increased availability and higher-quality services via real-time data processing augment the potential for technology to add value to everyday experiences. This paper presents a novel model for an intelligent government system that uses fog computing technology to control and manage the data of the entire system. Guaranteeing trusted and reliable communication between entities is the primary intent of this model. Unique algorithms, focused on sustaining the system’s data integrity in the event of a system attack, are proposed and evaluated.
