A LiBr-H_2O triple-effect absorption chiller is currently under development in Korea. The chiller hasthree generators and a newly developed reverse-parallel solution flow was applied. Since the tripleeffectabsorption chiller has more system components and the flow of the solution is complicated,the control of the system is much more difficult than a conventional double-effect absorption chiller.Therefore, dynamic simulation is required to understand the characteristics due to the change ofoperation conditions. In this study, a dynamic simulation model has been developed for a reverseparallelflow triple-effect absorption chiller, and the transient behaviours due to the change ofoperation conditions have been studied. The effects of the variation of the gas input, the coolingwater temperature, and the chilled water temperature have been investigated. The simulation resultswill be compared with the experiments. It is expected that this study will be able to supply importantinformation in developing an optimal control method of the triple-effect absorption chiller.
