It is a commonly used strategy to reduce the levelized cost of energy by improving the ratio of the photovoltaic panel installation DC capacity to inverter AC capacity. However, selection of DC/AC ratio value generally relies on experience, lacking a scientific method to estimate the optimal value under different circumstances. This article analyzes and explores the historical data of photovoltaic power station using data mining technology to establish a photovoltaic power generation prediction model, and then, calculates the return on investment based on the power generation predicted by the model. The calculation result shows that the return on investment generally increases with the increase of $R$, and then decreases with the increase of $R$ after reaching a maximum value. Therefore, the optimal DC/AC ratio in different regions can be found.
