Research on Meteorological Monitoring and Warning Platform for Typhoon Disaster of Transmission and Distribution Lines

For a long time, typhoon disasters have posed a huge threat to the safety and stability of the power grid. By studying meteorological monitoring and warning technology, while depending on the data of Geographic Information System (GIS) and radar system, the meteorological monitoring and warning platform of transmission lines is designed and developed with the application of component technology and big data mining technology. Based on the service-oriented architecture (SOA) service system, the monitoring platform is designed with the method of hierarchical design, a data interface is also established between the monitoring platform and power grid system. Then a data sharing mechanism develops, which helps effectively integrate the information resources and eliminate the "Isolated Data Island" phenomenon. An effective monitoring and warning of the typhoon disaster for the transmission lines is realized with the meteorological monitoring platform, which turns the post-disaster repairing of the grid from passively defending into actively warning and preventing. Moreover, it contributes to the safety and stability of the power grid while ensuring the economic development and social stability.
