This paper proposes a simple chat application based on a brain-computer interface, intended to be used by neuromotor disabled persons that want to interact with someone else by written messages. The disabled person will use a LabVIEW graphic interface developed to enable the detection and counting of the voluntary eye-blinks acquired by a NeuroSky headset. One voluntary eye-blink determines the transition across emoticons/buttons, while two voluntary eye-blinks enable the selection of the emoticon corresponding to the desired information. In this version, messages are sent by Bluetooth protocol to an Android application running on a smartphone. The method of receiving and sending messages is the same as the normal way used by universal messenger apps.
