This study presents the synthesis and characterization of nanocomposite materials (NCMs) based on zinc oxide (ZnO) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) used as sensing material (SM) with application in NO2 detection at room temperature. The solutions of ZnO nanoparticles with 1 and 10 % (wt. %) of RGO were deposited onto the interdigitated array electrode forming IDE type sensors. The sensors were tested in 1, 3, 5 and 10 ppm NO2 atmosphere, at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The results prove that the obtained NCMs are suitable for sensing application. NCMs were investigated by DLS, ELS, Raman, UV-Vis and imagistic techniques.
