Verification of the Model of Backward Reflection Coefficient of Absorbing Media

In this work, we compare the back reflection model based on the method of counter propagating waves of absorbing media with the measured data of the backscattering coefficient, borrowed from the experiment of the University of Electronic Sciences and Technology of China (UESTC). At frequencies of 3 and 10 GHz, good agreement was found between the results of the calculated and measured values of the backward reflection coefficients. In the range of angles of incidence 0° – 65°, their standard deviations are less than 1 dB.
