摘要

An integrated QPSK Costas loop for analog receiver synchronization is presented. The circuit synchronizes the local oscillator signal to the received RF signal with respect to frequency and phase. The IC is implemented in 130 nm SiGe:C BiCMOS technology with ft/fmax of 250/300 GHz. The designed circuit can synchronize both QPSK and BPSK modulated signals. A synchronous demodulation with bit rates of up to 8 Gbps both in case of QPSK and BPSK has been achieved at different carrier frequencies with EVMRMS values of -16dB and -12 dB, respectively.
