We analyse how the value of the permittivity of a circular dielectric rod influence the absorption cross-section (ACS) and the total scattering cross-section (TSCS) of the composite scatterer made of such a rod decorated with conformal strip of graphene and illuminated with H-polarized plane wave. Our full-wave analysis is based on a hypersingular electric-field integral equation for the current on the strip, discretized using the meshless Nystrom-type method, to guarantee the convergence of the obtained results. We present the normalized ACS and TSCS as a function of the rod radius, graphene strip width and frequency, in the wide range from 3 GHz to 90 THz. At several resonance frequencies in this range, we plot near field patterns.
