Compact Size Wideband 0-dB Microstrip Forward Coupler

摘要

This paper presents a novel coupled microstrip line unit cell that provides different loadings for the even and odd modes. By exploiting its characteristics, a size-reduced and bandwidth-enhanced 0-dB forward coupler that operates at 3 GHz with 0.85λg footprint and 50% fractional bandwidth is proposed. Measurements, which are in a good agreement with EM simulations, confirm the theoretical predictions.
