摘要

This paper presents a basic theory for modeling printed circuit antennas for millimeter wave applications. Printed circuit dipoles are considered and the Pocklington integral equation is solved for the antenna current distribution. Substrates of arbitrary thickness and dielectric constant can be taken into account in this model and the precise contribution of surface wave modes to antenna parameters is discussed.
