摘要

When irradiated with the CW COIL laser beam (lambda=1.315 mum) a composite target (kevlar epoxy or graphite epoxy) is heated to a high temperature in several seconds. The heating, ablation, char and thermocopuling of targets duo to laser irradiation are sutudied with experiments and model calcualtions in this paper. The experimental diagnostics consisted of high speed digital camera, infrared thermovision and laser interferometer.
