A new method for determination of free space antenna factor on anopen area test site is described. This method avoids two sources oferror that are present in the ANSI C63.5-1998 procedure, and simplifiesthe measurement process by eliminating the receiving antenna heightscan. In addition, a new method of computing the mutual couplingcorrection factor is presented
