Retroactive Application of 'Turbo' Coding Techniques to Wireless Communications Channels: Bluetooth Case Study

We consider retroactive application of a Turbo Product Code (TPC) to the Bluetooth wireless local area network. Our goal is to achieve better throughput performance in low signal-to-noise situations without drastically modifying the standardized signal format A 2-D TPC is used as a component of multi-cycle Type II ARQ protocol.
