This paper describes a method of synthesizing a human image in avirtual space by recognizing the human motion from stereo images.However it is difficult to detect the positions of all the human jointsfrom actual images. This image synthesizing method uses an associativememory which has stored representative human motion patterns tocompensate for the insufficient information detected from actual images
