Application of filtering strategies to Multiple Sclerosis tremor:analysis of results

Intention tremor severely compromises everyday life tasks inpatients suffering from Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson's disease. Wereport the result of our investigation on the properties of MultipleSclerosis tremor. We analysed the case of handwriting and the effects offiltering tremor with proper numerical systems. An index for theevaluation of movements has been proposed, its properties have beenverified with healthy users and used for evaluating efficiency offiltering on Multiple Sclerosis patients. The achieved results have beenapplied in the development of some technological aids for assistingtherapist and patients in their work/life
