A microcomputer based, cost effective, distributed simulationenvironment (DYNASIM) is developed. The environment allows simulation ofintelligent dynamic systems with real time I/O support. The paperdescribes the available features of the developed environment. Thecommunication protocol implemented to allow the integration of differentdistributed hardware and software systems is explained. Applicationsdemonstrating salient features and capabilities of the developedenvironment are discussed
