In this paper, specific time-domain noise signals withpredetermined statistical characteristics, are synthesized by means ofphase spectrum manipulations in the frequency domain. Each signalmaintains a constant magnitude frequency response. However, differentphase response distributions have been used to manipulate the phasespectrum in order to obtain tailored statistical characteristics in thetime-domain. The sought characteristics include: kurtosis, skewness, andcrest factor. Simulation results are presented
