A direct lightning strike to a building may cause damage orinterference in the operation of electronic equipment inside thestructure and may even be dangerous to the people in the more criticalcase. In order to decide on an efficient lightning protection system, itis important to determine the lightning current distribution in thebuilding. Knowledge of the current distribution is obtained from modelmeasurements and from theoretical calculations. The strike points areassumed in different places on the building's roof.
