A new method for drying the paper insulation of power transformersduring service

摘要

In this contribution a new method for drying the paper insulationof power transformers during service is introduced. The drying system iscost efficient, easy to adapt on every liquid/paper insulated highvoltage apparatus, does not affect either the dissolved nor theheadspace gas analysis and does not require the apparatus to be takenout of service. The contribution reports about the principle ofoperation, some measurements on transformer model and some reflectionsabout practical realization of the system
