Wavelength-preserving polarization-insensitive all-optical 3R regenerator utilizing raman amplification, cross- and self-phase modulation, and offset filtering

Wavelength preserving 3R regeneration is demonstrated that is insensitive to the input signal state-of-polarization. Distributed Raman amplification is used to enhance cross-phase modulation and allows the retiming and reshaping stages to simultaneously achieve good performance.
