摘要

A slot antenna fed by a microstrip-line and having an open ended vertical stub from the top middle inner side of the square shaped slotted ground plane is presented in this paper. Dimension of this antenna is (30×30 mm2) which is reasonably compact in nature. It has two resonating frequencies at 1.81 GHz and 5.22 GHz, and these two bands are operating for the DCS1800/PCS1900 and wireless LAN application. The percentage bandwidths of both the resonance bands are 10.00 and 11.85 respectively. The gain varies in the range of 1.71 dBi to 1.89 dBi and 3.56 dBi to 3.72 dBi in the band of 1.81 GHz and 5.22 GHz respectively. This shows enough for the operation of DCS1800/PCS1900 and WLAN system. This proposed antenna shows good radiation patterns i.e. a consistent co-polar and allowable cross-polar in the desired bands of frequencies.
