Research on The Wear of PCBN Cutter in Dry And Finish Cutting of Hardened Bearing Steel

摘要

Based on the experiment during dry-cutting GCr15 bearing steel, the wear curve of flank face and its feature is obtained. Furthermore, through macroscopic observation on the wear types with scanning electron microscope, this paper investigates the wear characteristic and mechanism of PCBN cutter. Also the relationship between wear and the shape of chips is studied.
