Robust IR attenuation measurement for non-invasive glucose level analysis

摘要

In the paper premises, proposed solutions and preliminary test results of a non-invasive blood glucose level measurement method are presented. It was assumed that the technique should be convenient for a patient, while measurements could be done perpetually, hence, it was decided to use near-infrared transmitter-detector sets located on the patient wrist. This location is much more problematic than that on a finger, or earlobe, hence, additional visible light analysis of the location is performed, and IR measurements corrected accordingly. Preliminary tests of the equipment on 9 persons (diabetic and healthy) are very promising.
