Hard coating film on the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate was manufactured by using Roll-to-Roll (R2R) printing process. Quality of the coated film characteristics, such as thickness and surface roughness, are investigated by the scanning electron microscopy and the atomic force microscopy. Process parameters are classified into two different groups. One is the quantitative parameters including viscosity of the liquid state coating material and moving speed of substrate (coating speed) and the other is the qualitative parameter such as hardening light. The effect of process parameter variations on the thickness and surface roughness of coated film is investigated statistically using the regression analysis and the analysis of variance (ANOVA).
