At the Garnier-pavilion, it is interesting to see that for thechoice of inspiration for the introduction of Japanese Architecture,an in a way artistic, however by no means typical representationwas chosen, placing the eastern culture into a sort of fairytale world.However, before misjudging this choice as a mere exampleof the free usage of exotic motifs in a Western-context, it has tobe pointed out, that this pavilion was actually an exact representationof how a phantasy house genre originally created by theJapanese themselves.
