Mapping Local Climate Zones for Japanese Major Cities using WUDAPT Method: Part1 A case study of Sendai

摘要

This study generated the LCZ map and classification of Sendaiby adopting WUDAPT Level 0 method as shown in Figure 4. Thehigh accuracy of overall accuracy and kappa coefficient inconfusion matrix of Sendai proves that WUDPAT method is aqualified method for mapping LCZ in Japanese designated cities.However, further investigations for making sub-types of LCZs andmorphology analysis to reproduce detailed configurations ofdistricts will be needed to solve the misclassifications in the future.
