Basic Models and Practice of Property Management in Old Urban Residential Quarters

摘要

Based on discussions of definition and types of the old urban residential quarters (OURQ), the characteristics and property management attributes of OURQ are firstly explored in this paper. The general approach of OURQ property management is presented in accordance with the requirements of Chinese urban construction and reconstruction. Then according to the types of the OURQ property, three practical OURQ property management models are proposed and their operational mechanisms are explained respectively. Finally the procedures of implementing property management in OURQs are put forward and the necessary external environment is discussed, based on an observation of OURQ property management practice in Tianjin, China.
