This paper proposes the load-shifting method with economic incentives for reduction of ramp rate of net load curve with large penetration of Photovoltaic (PV) systems, where the net load curve can be called duck-curve. The proposed method applies incentives to residential customer's electricity rate and selling rate of surplus power of the customer's PV to shift the time of the operation of customer's appliances, such as Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) and battery, in order to reduce the duck-curve's ramp rate. Simulation results shows that proposed method can reduce the ramp rate of the net load curve of the residential area at distribution feeder level by 46% compared to the case without customer's battery and Heat Pump Water Heater. And, the total cost of the incentives for shifting the load is 14cent/kWh that is close to the utility's regulation cost 8.8cent/kWh.
